Every dish here is cooked the old way — entirely over open fire. No gas, no electricity. Just flame, smoke, and time. Our chefs use spit-roasting, ember baking, stone grilling, and salt drying to bring out deep, rustic flavours, working with wild, seasonal ingredients from the Chiltern Hills — like venison, woodland mushrooms, wild garlic, nettles, and elderflower.
We also bring in a few Alpine favourites: white truffles from Alba, smoked salt from the Dolomites, and artisanal cheeses like Gruyère, Raclette, and traditional fondue blends — perfect for slow meals and fireside gatherings. For mornings, we offer cold-pressed juices and seasonal wellness cleanses — available on request and made with fresh, local ingredients.
And because good food should feel easy, we welcome you to bring your own wine and pair it with what you love.
All meals are free for children under 12.
