Join the Clear Risk Management Team to understand how to manage recruitment, induction and probation processes in your workplace.

The Employment Rights Act 2025 compresses the assessment window for new hires to six months. Every recruitment decision, onboarding process, and early performance conversation now carries real legal risk. This course equips managers to build defensible processes from day one.

The training is aimed at business owners, senior managers, line managers and HR professionals, and is beneficial for any who are new to the role or for those requiring a refresh into managing early employment following the changes introduced by the Employment Rights Act 2025. Our trainer will also be on hand should you have any specific issues you’d like to discuss.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

Explain the changed legal landscape under the Employment Rights Act 2025, including 6-month unfair dismissal rights and how notice periods affect the qualifying threshold.
Understand how Employment Value Proposition attracts candidates and reduces early attrition
Design structured selection processes that really test a candidates attitude and capability before offer of employment are made
Identify red flags during recruitment and referencing and understand how to probe and document concerns appropriately
Implement an effective onboarding and induction process that sets clear, measurable expectations and accelerates time to competence
Apply the 1-3-5 review framework to monitor and document employee performance during the probationary period
Conduct a compliant short-service termination, including the required procedural steps and how to deliver the decision fairly
Build evidence trails throughout the early employment lifecycle that support fair, defensible employment decisions
