Please note: we advise our visitors to pre-book tickets through our website. Pre-booked tickets are offered at a discounted rate. 

Entry times are flexible. Please do not worry if you arrive earlier / later than the booked slot - it is purely so we can ensure we manage entry as efficiently as possible.

Tickets can only be redeemed by the purchaser. To amend the date of your visit, please follow the link shown on your booking confirmation email.

Tickets are non-refundable and must be produced upon arrival.

Concessions Tickets

Valid for retired 65+, disabled, students, forces, military and NHS staff.

Please note: to gain entry with a Concession Ticket, you will be required to present valid proof of age, disability, student status or your staff card to the Ticket Office on the day. You may be refused entry if the above is not provided.

Affiliate Members

Yorkshire's Great Houses, Castles and Gardens members visit free of charge.

Please purchase one YGHCG ticket to allow free entry. 

YGHCG cards must be presented alongside your booking upon arrival, otherwise entry will be refused. 


Gardeners World 2-for-1 card holders receive free entry for one adult with one paying adult.

Please note that this card only applies to visits during January, February, June, July, September and December.
