The Battle of Torrington took place on 16th February 1646. It was the decisive and final battle of the South West of England, and known as the forgotten battle of the English Civil War.

Join us as we walk the route from Wells Street around the streets of Torrington. Soldiers on foot and horseback took part in fierce fighting, most of it hand to hand. Who was victorious? Royalists or Parliamentarians?
