An exclusive opportunity to visit Godolphin’s Rehoming facilities
During this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit this prestigious site to view their first-class facilities, learn about how one of the most successful racing and breeding operations cares for their thoroughbreds post racing, as well as how they successfully progress these horses into their new careers.
What to Expect
On this tour you’ll experience first hand the five-star care that goes into these horses’ retraining and learn about the development process of retraining, with the core focus on the horses’ welfare.
Arrive at your leisure and enjoy inclusive entry to the National Horseracing Museum for the morning.
1.30pm Meet your tour guide outside the front entrance to the Museum and board the Discover Newmarket Tour bus
2.00pm Arrive at Godolphin’s Rehoming Yard and embark on a bespoke tour of the facilities led by Cilla Leonard, Godolphin’s Rehoming Manager, accompanied by Penny Taylor, Godolphin’s UK Charities Manager. This will be followed by a ridden demonstration with one of the horses currently residing at Godolphin Rehoming accompanied by Louise Robson of Thoroughbred Dressage to demonstrate the retraining process and journey.
Louise is a dressage rider who specialises in the retraining of racehorses and competes at all levels both here and abroad. Louise has won both Regional and National titles and her top OTTB, Quadrille, who was bred and raced by HM The Queen, was crowned RoR Elite Dressage horse and RoR Horse of the Year in 2019.

3.30pm Enjoy refreshments and take the opportunity to ask any questions
4.00pm Return to the National Horseracing Museum
