Approximately 10 minutes’ taxiing and engine checks before a minimum 45 minutes airborne in our genuine WW2 Spitfire in the very airspace the Battle of Britain was fought. Feel the vibration, hear the sound of the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin Engine and experience a fantastic range of aerobatic manoeuvres (if requested) in the most iconic aircraft of WW2. Just to the east of North Weald the London airspace ceiling height restrictions due to commercial airliner activity come to an end, so customers can experience a higher level of flight freedom and the whole raft of classic Spitfire flight aerobatics and manoeuvres. We do not restrict guest numbers or charge you to invite them. They can enjoy watching the WW2 aircraft from our paddock and our original WW2 RAF ‘Scramble hut’ with adjoining café.
