20 Minute Fly a T6 Harvard Experience (London, Dorset or Kent)
Fly a T6 Harvard experience from North Weald Airfield (Essex), Headcorn Aerodrome (Kent) or Compton Abbas (Dorset). The Harvard was the second step for a WWII trainee RAF fighter pilot, a much more powerful aircraft than the gentle Tiger Moth with a 600 hp PW radial engine which makes it much more like a fighter to fly. We not only give you the opportunity to fly in the Harvard, you also take the controls yourself and actually fly a warbird. The legendary North American T6 Harvard warbird was a fighter trainer for all RAF and Empire fighter pilots, as well as US pilots during WW2 up to the 1970’s. Includes a detailed pre-flight briefing covering the aircraft, equipment and safety procedures. Approximately 5 minutes’ taxiing and engine checks before getting airborne in the very airspace the Battle of Britain was fought.
