Itinerary

Day 1 - Sunday 7th December - Departure

Depart Bosworth's Garden Centre (Burton Latimer or Elton) on a luxury coach for Dover,  joining the morning ferry to Calais. Travelling through France, Belgium and into the Limburg region of the Netherlands, arriving at Valkenburg and the hotel where we stay for the next three nights. Breakfast 7.30-10.30, lunch at the bar 12.00-14.00, dinner 18.00-20.00. Our current sailing time is scheduled at 10h40

Day 2 - Monday 8th December - Valkenburg

Enjoy a full day in the pretty Dutch town of Valkenburg. Nestled in the rolling hills of Limburg this charming town is bursting with character. Visit the world’s oldest underground Christmas market, set in the magical Municipal Caves and Velvet Caves beneath Valkenburg Castle. An enchanting festive experience. For a break from shopping, tour the castle ruins, visit the Roman Catacombs or ride the Valkenburg chair lift for the best views! Please note that cave tickets have to be booked online in advance by time slot. You're free to decide which attractions you visit in Valkenburg and at what time. Return later to the hotel to relax before your evening meal.

Day 3 - Tuesday 9th December - Aachen

Across the border in to Germany we step back in time in picturesque Aachen. A gold standard Christmas Market set against the glorious backdrop of the UNESCO protected 8th Century Cathedral. This market winds its way through the sparkling cobbled lanes around the Cathedral. You could take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Aachens festive streets or explore the stunning town hall or the Couven townhouse museum.

Return later to the hotel to relax before your evening meal.

Day 4 - Wednesday 10th December - Depart for home

After breakfast and the luggage has been loaded on to the coach we say farewell to Valkenburg and depart for Dunkirk. We will stop en route for coffee and lunch arriving at Dunkirk for our ferry crossing to Dover. Our current sailing time is scheduled at 16h00.

Time:
Holland and Germany are both 1 hour ahead of British Time
