Free Family Fungi Walks
Join us for a fascinating fungus foray around Thorp Perrow, discovering the wonderful world of fungi and learning how to recognise some of the common species you’re likely to encounter in woodlands and grasslands.
These relaxed, hands-on walks are suitable for all ages and experience levels, whether you’re completely new to fungi or keen to develop your identification skills.
The walk will include:
- Examples of common fungi found in woodlands and grasslands.
- Hands-on foraging techniques.
- A display of named fungi to photograph and use for future recognition.
- Guidance on the key features used to identify different fungi.
- The opportunity to bring your own samples along for identification.
- Advice on the next steps to develop your fungi identification skills.
